Music has always been an integral part of our worship at Crawford Street UMC. We provide an opportunity for all members to share their talents in the worship of our Lord through music.
Melody Makers: Fun, fellowship, & music for ages 3- Kindergarten.
"MAAD" (Music/Art/Activities/Drama): This group participates in special programs and with the adult choir several times a year. K-6. Sundays 5:00-700 PM.
Cherub Choir: Singing, rhythm activities, and movement for grades K-2.
Children's Chancel Choir: Two part singing and Orff instruments are some of the things children will learn about in this choir for grades 3-6.
Carol Choirchimes: A first ringing experience for children in grade 3.
Glory Ringers: A first handbell experience for grades 4-6.
Joy Ringers: An advanced handbell choir for grades 4-6.
Handbell Choir: Meets Wednesdays from 5:45-6:45 PM. Requires a weekly commitment and rings for worship and special programs throughout the year.
Chancel Choir: Meets Wednesday from 6:45-8:00 PM. Welcome to all adults and youth who love to sing and are ready to make a commitment to weekly rehearsals and Sunday Worship. Two cantatas with orchestral accompaniment are also presented each year, on Palm Sunday and the third Sunday in Advent. Repertoire for this choir includes traditional, contemporary, classical, and gospel music, as well as spirituals.
